Today we saw 6-7 properties that were in various stages of renovation, and heard the story of each one. Some where amazing deals that would turn an incredible profit, others just 20-30% depending on what you chose to do in the refurb.
One property that took our interest was an incredible deal that we would have snapped up if it was offered to us. Basically it was a 3 bed house with a 1 bed flat underneath it. The big draw card was a large piece of land out the back that could be easily divided off the original property and sold , almost halving the acquisition price, making the whole property a great BTL / hold deal.
It was great to meet Janette Jones, the other half of Prop Source Wales, and clearly a knowledgeable lady with a lot of business nous, I can see why she and Gerraint are coaches, and plan to lean on their knowledge a lot in the future as we pursue 2 deals through them.
We were also please to see the 2 deals we have under way in person today, just from the outside, but getting a feel of each neighbourhood and what the possibilities are for the properties was great. We of course dropped in on a couple of local real estate agents to get a feel for the local markets and make sure we can back up the promises made by the sourcing agent, and our promises to partner investors.
